What does the European Union mean to Poles living and working in Spain? Members of Polish Professionals in Madrid shared their answers to this question as part of a project organised by the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Madrid.
We were delighted to accept the invitation to take part in this initiative, which gave Poles living in Spain an opportunity to share how membership of the European Union has shaped their lives. The recordings featuring our members were published on the Embassy of Poland’s X profile and on the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Facebook page, Polacy Światu.
The contributions of our members are not political statements, but personal stories of people who, thanks to the opportunities offered by a united Europe, have been able to begin a new chapter in their lives.
For many of them, the European Union means the freedom to live, study and work abroad. It also means open borders, easier travel, professional development, and opportunities to discover new cultures and build international connections. Thanks to these opportunities, Poles living in Spain are developing their careers, raising families and building bridges between Poland and Spain every day.
